The I am Safe program
A global event became a practical, measurable course.
Ingram Micro Straubing is one of Europe’s largest technology logistics centers. Mandatory refreshers and temporary-worker inductions were still delivered manually, with printed folders and senior employees approached directly on the shop floor.
For “I am Safe” Day, Ingram Micro and how.fm designed a standardized 15-minute course covering fire safety, shop-floor rules, COVID-19 guidance, and vaccination information. Preloaded tablets made the program immediately accessible.
Understanding, not just attendance
The course translated automatically into more than 30 languages and used spoken guidance, short sequences, and quizzes. Workers could learn in their own language, understand why the rules mattered, and leave a digital completion record.
The result
More than 200 workers completed the program in under eight hours across more than five languages. The approach reduced stress for trainers, gave every colleague the same standard, and created a foundation that could be reused across locations.
